Available worldwide from 29th Sept to 29th Oct 2023.
Indie rock luminaries The National returned to the Sydney Opera House Forecourt in 2018, to play in front of a 5,000-strong crowd, following two sold-out performances on the same spot four years earlier. The 2014 performance was live-streamed and has now been seen by nearly 3 million people from around the world. Whilst the 2018 performances were not recorded for broadcast, this new concert film is taken from a range of sources including on-stage magnification, wide-view archival cameras and security footage; with the sound mix taken from the live PA feed. Whilst the quality varies as a result, it nonetheless creates a unique and vital record of a much-loved performance from one of the most important bands of our era. (Premiere)
