Following his sold-out performances with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in 2013, Indigenous Australian musician Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu returned to the Opera House in 2014 for two encore performances. The concerts presented the musician and orchestra onstage accompanied by rare footage and photography from Gurrumul’s Yolngu upbringing through to his international success. Having garnered a legion of fans that includes Elton John and Sting among its ranks, this special performance allows audiences to delve deeper into Gurrumul’s music and spirit. (Stream Premiere)
