Blockhead and Sparkles and the Flood of Tears is an animated short film created by acclaimed visual artist and disability advocate Digby Webster, experimental theatre maker Lauren Orrell and multi-hat filmmaker Rosie Lourde, where every asset has been hand drawn with oil pastels. Blockhead and Sparkles are best friends with unique gifts. When their town becomes in great danger, they must work to mend a rift in their friendship and save the town from a threat bigger than them all. Celebrating neuro-diversity, the project unpacks how we can all learn to communicate better, with a little bit of bonkers thrown in for good measure.
