Liminal - A Music Film Series

Liminal is a contemporary music film series featuring eight Australian artists who created unique live performances for the screen –spotlighting BLESSED, Budjerah, Chris Abrahams, EGOISM, Liz Martin Band, Maina Doe, Ninajirachi and Young Franco. The Joan Sutherland Theatre stage is transformed into a 360-degree blank canvas, which artists used to create visceral and intimate pieces of work. Playing with a striking kinetic set design and dramatic lighting, this exciting series was directed by Sydney-based studio Subversus. Together with Sydney Opera House’s world-class production team, the stage became a synesthetic art installation, enabling artists to push the edges of their artistic practice like never before.
