When it feels like the whole world is on fire, what’s a feminist to do? Step back into the kitchen, of course... it’s time to put on a roast.
Returning for a third serving, this much-loved All About Women event brings together five of the nation’s sharpest minds for a hilarious skewering of the movement we love.
From historical hang-ups to internal contradictions, impossible expectations and that modern feminist “to-do list” that’s growing more unruly than that patch of body hair you can’t decide whether to keep as a statement piece — if you thought this festival’s core conviction was safe from the flames, think again.
And yet, beneath the flames, there’s a deep affection for the movement that’s shaped us. These roasts are as much love letters as they are takedowns, as our witty lineup twists and turns the reality of the movement today. Think communal coping strategy, with spicy jokes and perfectly seasoned digs.
