In a posthumous letter, "Kate" accused federal MP and Minister for Industry Christian Porter of raping her as a young woman. Following her death, Kate’s friends have campaigned to have her accusations investigated.
This event unites those central to the fight: the friend (Jo Dyer), the lawyer (Michael Bradley), and the journalist who broke major parts of the story (Samantha Maiden). Each will reveal their insights into how the pursuit of justice unfolded, its cultural impact, and how we can seek political accountability.
Moderated by Julia Baird, this will be a big conversation about feminism and the law, friendship and power, hope and action. What responsibility do we have to our friends, our loved ones, and our community?
First broadcast Sunday March 13 2022.
Duration: approx 60 minutes.
Rental period: 30 days
