Gravity & Other Myths - The Mirror: Sweet Sacred Bliss
Performance Films • 10m
Circus and cabaret come together in this cinematically ravishing adaptation of The Mirror, a boundary-pushing work from multi-award-winning company Gravity & Other Myths. Commissioned by Sydney Opera House and Chamäleon Theatre Berlin and shot live in the Drama Theatre, this unforgettable film combines audacious acrobatics, innovative design and risqué choreography to explore the concept of entertainment and the human mind, set to a soundtrack from the show's charismatic musical host, Ekrem Eli Phoenix.
"Sweet Sacred Bliss is about that existential awe of being a person and that euphoria of being alive rather than doubting and reflecting on our imperfections." – Darcy Grant, Director of Gravity & Other Myths
