Composer Lisa Illean introduces the processes and inspiration behind the fragile soundworlds she creates, combining acoustic instruments and almost otherworldly electronics.

The work featured, arcing, stilling, bending, gathering, was co-commissioned by Britten Sinfonia, Finding Our Voice and UKARIA, and premiered at Melbourne Recital Centre's Inaugural New Music Days festival of contemporary music in April 2023.
