A free showcase of short highlights from the ACO’s StudioCasts film season, featuring spectacular performances from the Australian Chamber Orchestra. The films in the series are now available to watch on Stream - search ACO StudioCast Collection.
This highlights showcase opens with the glorious Andante Cantabile from Tchaikovsky's String Quartet No.1, played by ACO Principal Cello, Timo-Veikko ‘Tipi’ Valve. Following this, and in complete contrast, is the explosively virtuosic Deviance, a work for strings written by Artistic Director Richard Tognetti.
The showcase concludes with Richard Tognetti giving a signature performance of Vaughan Williams' sublime The Lark Ascending.
